Q & A With Elders

The Elders will hold Q & A sessions this Sunday, April 28 at 5:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 1 at 6:00 p.m., Sunday, May 5 at 5:00 p.m., and Thursday, May 16 at 6:00 p.m. to discuss proposed changes to CBC Bylaws. The meetings will be held in the Fellowship Hall, providing opportunities for you to discuss the revisions with the elders prior to our annual business meeting on Sunday, May 19. During that meeting, the congregation will vote on accepting the revised Constitution and Bylaws in its entirety.   

Check your email for the Elder Update dated Wednesday, April 17. A copy of the proposed Bylaws revisions is attached.

Saltshakers Fall Bible Study

Saltshakers Ladies’ Bible Study invites you to join us for our new study starting on September 17, "Are You Ready to Meet Jesus?" We will study 1 John, James, selected Psalms and 1 & 2 Thessalonians.  Morning and evening classes are available with preschool and homeschool programs offered in the mornings. Online registration is required via our website. Operation Christmas Child - Early Shoebox Collection

This Sunday wraps up our Christmas Child collection for the month of April. Thank you for your participation. Please contact Jennifer Allen or Cindy Rice to coordinate the drop-off of any donations you may have after today. Contributions are accepted at any time and are always appreciated. The next collection dates will be in July, followed by a packing party; details to come.

Missions Prayer Focus - CLI Prison Alliance

Prison Alliance’s mission is to impact God’s Kingdom by sharing the Gospel with the incarcerated. The ministry disciples through correspondence Bible studies and works with prison pastors. They have nearly 100,000 inmates in their multiple year correspondence discipleship program.

One pillar of the ministry is providing Bibles and other Christian literature to those they serve. Members of Christ Baptist Church stamped and boxed over 3,000 books earlier this year. Pray for the prisoners who will read these books. Pray that our incarcerated brothers will grow in faith. Pray that the hearts of those searching will trust Jesus as their Lord and Savior.

New Member Class May 5

The next New Member Class will be held this Sunday, May 5, at 9:00 am in Room A-03. This is the second of the 2 sessions that are required parts of our membership process. The classes do not need to be taken in order. If you are interested in church membership, please speak with a Deacon at the conclusion of the worship service.
