Mark your calendar for our upcoming Vacation Bible School.  Our four-day VBS will be held from 9:00 am until noon on Monday, June 16 through Thursday, June 19. VBS is open to children age 5 (by June 1) through rising 6th graders. Registration closes this Sunday, June 1 Register here

VBS volunteers are needed!  If you are interested in helping, please contact Tillie Turlington as soon as possible.  A background screening is required. There will be a brief volunteer meeting in the Fellowship Hall on June 8 immediately following the worship service.

Women in Prayer

Ladies, we're excited to share another opportunity for connection and growth this summer! The Women in Prayer group will be reading and discussing Why Should We Love the Local Church by Dustin Benge, Executive Director of Unashamed Truth

We invite you to join us this coming Monday, June 2 at 10:00 am in the Gathering Hall for informal introductions, prayer and book distribution.  (Cost of the book is $5 exact cash or via Venmo.)

Enter the building through the east side portico. If you are unable to attend this introductory meeting, but would like to participate in the book study, contact Andrea Kidd

We plan to cover one to two chapters per week, June 9 through August 25, 10:00-11:30 am.  Childcare is not available.

Music Ministry Invitation

Join us on Wednesday, June 11 for a BBQ Feast in the Fellowship Hall.  The price of admission is that you then attend choir rehearsal at 7:00 pm following dinner.  Lend your voice and talent as we praise God in song.

We want to give you a taste of what the choir's ministry involves and have you join your voice with us.

Please register for the dinner by Monday, June 9.

Same Page Summer

We invite you to join the women of Christ Baptist and Capital Community as we read through the New Testament together this summer. Our purpose for Same Page Summer is to encourage one another to be women of the Word. We long to not only hear the Word preached and taught on Sunday, but to build upon that foundation throughout the week as we rely on the Word of God for spiritual strength each day.

We will have our summer plan available to download and print beginning in June. You can register your interest in participating via this link.

Opportunity to Serve

Our children's ministry is looking for more volunteers on Sunday mornings to help with the preschoolers (babies through three-year olds).  If you would like to learn more or to volunteer, please contact Tillie Turlington, our children's ministry director to find your place of service!

Starting Point

Starting Point is a class designed to help individuals learn more about our church and start the membership process. At Starting Point, Pastor Grant Castleberry will present the grand message of the Bible, introduce opportunities to get connected, and answer any questions you may have. This class is specifically for individuals who are not currently members of either Christ Baptist or Capital Community, but are desiring to join the new church family. If you’re looking for a church home, Starting Point is your first step.

The class will be held on Sunday, June 22, from 9:00-10:15 am.  Register here.

Membership Class

Join Pastor Grant Castleberry for our Membership Class, where he will guide you through what it means to become a member of our church family. Current members of either Christ Baptist or Capital Community do not need to attend Starting Point or the Membership Class in order to join the new church.

The Membership Class is designed for those who have already attended Starting Point and are ready to take the next step in their faith journey and commit to our community.

For more information contact Mariah Shanton, or register here.

Young Adult Cookout

Join us on Thursday, June 26 from 6:00-9:00 pm at the Milburnie Fishing Club for a time of food, fun, fellowship and an encouraging message from Pastor Grant Castleberry. This will be a great opportunity to connect with young adults at our church and get plugged into the young adult ministry.  Register here.
